Anamorphosis on a cube of 1m3. Six plates of plexiglas 6mm, laser cut « à queue droite », abstract patterns on transparent adhesive film 8 colors, laser cut, applied on all six faces.

From a stool (point of view) on which the visitor is invited to sit down, the patterns start making sense and present the image of three spray bottles which seem to float inside the cube.

Exhibition Mica, Villa des Arts, Casablanca, 2011

Plastic work, plastic sprays, plastic reality...

This artwork is a representation of consumer society and its communication tools, especially television and advertisement, here symbolized by plastic.

Walking around the cube, our point of view changes constantly. Thus, we can visualise the three-dimensional object without yet being able to understand all its meanings. Sitting on the stool, we symbolically take the place of the passive tv consumer. The image loses its complexity and becomes understandable. Now perfectly coherent, it is nevertheless only an illusion.
